Hillcrest Childcare is a non-profit organisation operated as a charitable trust by Hillcrest High School Community Childcare Centre Trust Inc. Our Board of Trustees is elected annually by parents and caregivers of the children attending the Centre. The Board employs a Manager who is responsible for the day to day running of the Centre and the employment of staff.

The Centre is located in Carrington Avenue , at the rear of Hillcrest High School grounds, in the south east of Hamilton city. We are in the vicinity of the University and Ruakura Research Centre and generally the community embraces a wide range of age groups, ethnic groups and socio-economic backgrounds.

Quality care is provided for a mixed age group – 6 months to 5 years – with a maximum 6 under two’s, up to a Centre maximum of 28. We are open from 7.45am to 5.15pm . A family atmosphere and low adult/child ratios are a feature of our facility. Though many of our children are enrolled fulltime, we also have places for children on a regular part time basis.

We employ qualified staff whenever possible and have a commitment to supporting staff in training.
